Meet The Guidepost Carers Support Team

Christine Grimley – Service Manager.

Chris has been a Carer Support Worker in Warwickshire for 17 years, she has a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of caring. Chris became Deputy Manager for Guideposts in November 2007 and became Service Manager in July 2011.

Joanne Hancox – Generic Carer Support Worker – North Warwickshire, Nuneaton, Bedworth and Rugby

Jo is our Generic Support Worker who covers the North Warwickshire, Nuneaton, Bedworth and Rugby area, offering one-to-one support to people who care for someone with any type of illness and/or disability. You can also drop into the Rugby Age UK, 43 Clifton Road between 10am – 12pm on Thursdays for a chat with Jo.

Amanda Jerman – Generic Carer Support Worker – South Warwickshire.

Amanda is one of two Generic Carer Support Workers, who covers Warwick District and Stratford District. Amanda is able to provide carers with a variety of support, including emotional support and benefits advice. As well as visiting carers at home and in the community, Amanda can also offer telephone and email support. In addition, Amanda facilitates support groups throughout South Warwickshire.

Mario Jaco – Generic Carer Support Worker – South Warwickshire

Mario is our second Generic Support Worker, covering Warwick District and Stratford District. Mario is able to provide carers with a variety of support, including one-to-one support and telephone support, as well as facilitates support groups throughout South Warwickshire.

SPECIALIST WORKERS

Pam Sidhu – Carer Support Worker for Black, Minority and Ethnic Groups (BME) – Countywide.

Pam is our Black Minority and Ethnic Groups (BME) Specialist Support worker who offers her support and skills throughout Warwickshire. Pam’s aim is to ensure that differences in language and culture are not a barrier to accessing our services.

Vicki Farley – Mental Health Specialist Support Worker – Countywide.

Vicki works as a Mental Health Specialist Support Worker within Guidepost Carers Support Service and has specific mental health carer knowledge.

If you provide practical or emotional support to someone with a mental health illness, Vicki may be able to provide you with information and support to aid your caring role, including one-to-one support, telephone support, e-mail support, support groups, drop in sessions and information/signposting.

John Webberley – Learning Disability Carer Support Worker – Countywide.

John is our  Learning Disability Carer Support Worker within Guideposts Carers Support Service and has specific Learning disability carer knowledge.

Michelle Sawyer – Parent Support Worker and Guardian Angels – Countywide.

Michelle is our specialist Parent Carer Support worker who works with parents who care for children under the age of 18 with an illness, learning disability, AD/HD or Autism. Michelle can help with the problems impacting on your family life whether they be physical or emotional. You may be unaware of the help that you could receive or the services that are available to you and so Michelle can work with you to find the best possible solutions for you and for family.

Michelle also delivers the Guardian Angels service, which is for grandparents and kinship carers, who are caring for someone under the age of 18 years.
