Guideposts Community Mental Health Services

Guideposts is one of the biggest providers of services to people with mental health problems in South West Hertfordshire.

Our Activity Centre, located  in Henry Smith House, Eastcourt Road in Watford runs an extensive programme of social, recreational and educational activities with the aim to help our service users to become a confident and functioning part of their local community. We also offer rapid response support for people in crisis and emotional support and long term care to individuals who feel isolated and alone.

Guideposts Community Mental Health Services also include:

• Outreach groups for people with mental health problems who do not live within reach of our Centre.
• A Volunteer Befriending Scheme that pairs trained volunteers with individuals to provide friendship and support.
• A Training Centre  providing IT training and accredited vocational training and work experience at our shop premises.
• A Carers Support Service to families and carers of someone with a mental health problem.
