Children and Young People Services

Looking for fun and involving activities for a child or children with learning disabilities between the ages of three to eighteen? Guideposts can help!

Guideposts Fun Clubs

Guideposts operates a Fun Club for children during term time between the hours of 3.30pm – 6pm.

This new service is based at the Springfield/Madley Brook School in Witney, Oxfordshire.

This is the only purpose-built integrated school in the country where children with learning disabilities can take part in activities alongside their peers.

School holidays

Running in the summer, Christmas and Easter holidays this scheme aims to give children and young people opportunities to experience new things, access community facilities and take part in community events.

Activities that children can take part in include art and craft sessions, music, drama, games and watching films.

Outings into town, swimming sessions and visits to attractions such as Drayton Manor and LEGOLAND give children of all ages opportunities they would not normally have.

As a result, children are healthier, happier and learn important life skills through play and leisure activities.

“Thank you so much for your children’s project. I was able to spend more time with my other children, while knowing Michael was having a wonderful time.”
