Older People Services

Guideposts Trust thinks every older person has the right to live the life they want. — the right to independence, safety, a healthy lifestyle and choice.

Some older people have these, but many still don’t have access to the choices and opportunities that most of us take for granted and have to settle for less as they get older.

At Guideposts Gloucestershire we deliver practical services and information and support that improves the quality of life for older people in our local community, allowing you to live independently for as long as possible.

We want to make it possible for older people to carry on doing the things they enjoy – whether that’s a lift to a social event, organising a visit to the pub for lunch with friends. The support people need varies at different times – after a stay in hospital it might be help with meals or collecting a prescription. At other times it might be help walking the dog or with the garden. Above all it is a friendly local face and regular contact. We use a person-centred approach to all our work and put your wishes as an individual at the front of everything we do.

Guideposts in Gloucestershire— because making it happen locally makes a big difference.
