We are looking for support workers to join our team based in Witney.

The role will include supporting children with learning disabilities within a play and a social activity setting.

Successful applicants are required to undertake an enhanced disclosure. Disclosure expense will be met by employer.

You will need to follow health and safety regulations and work in accordance with all safeguarding procedures.

You will be required to work as part as a team and use your own initiative. Applicants should expect to work with children with a variety of needs. Experience of working with children in a play setting will be an advantage. Working within this role is very rewarding; we aim to provide a fun and enjoyable experience for the children.

The ideal applicant should be enthusiastic and organised with excellent communication skills and have the ability to plan and deliver activities which provide a variety of experiences for the children.

First Aid certified applicants are preferred but training is available.

You must be reliable and an excellent time keeper. NVQ 2/3 is an advantage.

We managed to contact 77 year old Mr. Shepherd this morning and inform him of his win.  He was over the moon, saying it was the first time he had ever won a raffle.  When asked how he would be spending the money he said that every year he goes on holiday to St. Ives in Cornwall, and that this year will be his 35^th trip there.  Last year he decided to go by train as he didn’t fancy the 7.5 hour drive, and we suggested that this year he could perhaps travel First Class!

The next Raffle draw date will be Thursday 27^th June 2013.

Casual support workers

Hourly rate:  £7.69

We are looking for flexible, person centred people to join our existing team of support workers in Daventry and Northampton.

The role involves supporting children and young people with additional needs to access a wide variety of activities.

The people who use our services are between the ages of 8-18, with a wide variety of disabilities and medical needs.

Our clubs run on Saturdays in term time (9am -4pm) and weekdays during school holidays (9am – 3pm)

We are looking for people with experience in a similar field of work, or people who just have the passion and drive to make a difference. Full training will be given in relation to the job requirements.

All posts are subject to interview, DBS (CRB) clearance and a reference check.
