Guideposts Community Cafe for Carers in Nuneaton awarded Oak FM Best Cafe / Restaurant Award 2009 earlier this month.

The Community Café has now been running for just over 3 years. This innovative project was established to meet the needs of carers, especially carers from BME communities, providing a single
point of contact for information, advice and support within a relaxed Café setting and promoting social interaction and inclusion. The cafe is also a vocational training centre for people with learning difficulties and mental health problems. Finally the cafe aims to be a centre for local voluntary and community groups providing an accessible, affordable venue promoting active local networking and local services.
Oak FM radio DJ Ian Ison presented the award to Sandra and Mark and Maureen . The Lord Mayor of Nuneaton and Bedworth Tom Wilson was on hand to make a speech and congratulate the hard work of the Cafe. For more information click here.
This is a great reward and a wonderful success for our Nuneaton Team. A thoughroughly deserved Award!
A big thank you to everyone who voted for Guideposts Community Cafe in Nuneaton.
